The basic story goes like that:
On May 20, 1929, while driving his Steyr car to Saint Cyr in France, Brecht was involved in a car accident. He was on a road near Fulda, Germany, where he was going to have lunch with Kurt Weill. Sometimes reality feels scripted. Brecht escaped from the accident with nothing but bruised knees, for which he was taken back to Berlin for treatment.
The story of Brecht’s accident will be told and demonstrated by performers several times, each take will present a different witness/account.
