A Trip into the Land of Realism

The first installment of Realism or Vanya concerns itself with the physicality of the play (location, geography, set etc.) and with the way the different characters are affected by it on one hand and interact with it on the other. The physical reality of the play is juxtaposed with the “real” reality outside, or to be precise with the Russian reality where the play was written.
